Obituary for JOSEPH L PASCUZZI

Joseph L. Pascuzzi, 82, of Reading, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Joseph was born in Queen, Pa., on July 6, 1935, the son of the late Clara (Chiodo) and Santo F. Pascuzzi.

He was the husband of Margaret A. (Orbanick) Pascuzzi, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Joseph was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading, Pa., where he was a Eucharistic Minister.

He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and a Master's Degree in Physics from Franklin and Marshall. Joseph was employed by AT&T and later Lucent Technologies. He was one of the founders of Keystone Technical Associates and later J. L. Pascuzzi Associates, both consulting companies.

Joseph helped organize the first Catholic Boy Scout Troop at Holy Redeemer Church in Warren, Pa. He was also a member of the Muhlenberg School Board Authority, a Junior Achievement Advisor and a first aid and CPR instructor for the American Red Cross.

Joseph was a member and Grand Knight of the Reading Council 793 of the Knights of Columbus, as well as a Past District Deputy. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Pius IX Assembly, where he was Past Faithful Navigator and member of the Color Corp.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, Joseph is survived by four children: Frances A. Moyer, wife of William Moyer, of Reading, Jeannette M. Pascuzzi-Heacock, wife of John W. Heacock, of Collegeville, Pa., Kathryn L. Focht, widow of Robert P. Focht, of Reading, and Joseph R. Pascuzzi,

husband of Jennifer Pascuzzi, of Reading. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Joseph was predeceased by 2 brothers, Santo and Richard Pascuzzi. 

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 and from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, Pa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church in Reading, Pa.
