The aged guest also loved the Good Shepherd Home and took great interest in its organizations, and wrote articles for its paper, “Sweet Charity” up until she was stricken a year ago. On September 21st she celebrated her birthday, when she was showered with gifts from the Home staff and guests, who for years have lovingly called her “Granny” The Christmans lived in Kutztown for many years and sold their home in 1927 and entered the Good Shepherd Home a month before Mr. Christman’s death.
