Obituary for Katherine Schuller

KATHERINE CUTERI SCHULLER BUONGRAZIO “Together Again” CANFIELD — There will be services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Zion Lutheran Church for Katherine Cuteri Schuller Buongrazio, 88, who died Sunday evening at her residence. Mrs. Buongrazio was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Hubbard, a daughter of Frank A. and Mary Cuva Cuteri. Kay was a clerical worker for Ryan Service Co., retiring in 1983. She was a member of the church and a member of the former Honterus Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Kay also belonged to Christian Women and the Youngstown Saxon Club Branch No. 22. Katherine always enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends. She loved to spend time with her family and her dog, Penny. She leaves her daughters, Toni L. (Todd) Mattozzi of Austintown and Shari M. Buongrazio of Youngstown; her son, Raymond L. Buongrazio of Columbus; her sisters, Theresa and Dorothy Cuteri and Caterina Cristofaro; her brother-in-law, David “Pinky” Maloney; her grandchildren, Michael Raffa and Marissa Mattozzi; her nephew, David (Margaret) Maloney; her niece, Diane (Mark) Davis; her grandniece, Jennifer (Chris) Rankin; and her grandnephew, David (Mandy) Maloney. Kay’s first husband of 29 years, George Schuller, whom she married Dec. 21, 1944, died July 9, 1974, and her second husband of 30 years, Albert C. Buongrazio, whom she married Aug. 2, 1980, died May 8, 2011. Her sister, Josephine Maloney is also deceased. The family would like to thank Katherine’s care givers, Cindy, Sharon, and Robyn for their kindness and how they cared for Kay. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, prior to the service.
