Obituary for George Telego

GEORGE PAUL TELEGO AUSTINTOWN – George Paul Telego, 72, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Vista Center in Boardman. He was born Jan. 14, 1940, in Youngstown, the son of George and Margaret Telago. George retired from General Motors, Lordstown Plant, in 1999, after 33 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked for Mill Creek Metroparks for 10 years. He belonged to the UAW 1112, the Lion’s Club, the NRA, and St. Christine’s Church.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, but especially spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Sylvia (White), whom he married Feb. 2, 1963; three daughters, Peggy (Kevin) Sneider of Port Clinton, Aino Hernandez of Boardman, and Carrie (Chris) Rosko, of Solon; five grandchildren, C.J., Tyler, Alexis, Blake and Samantha; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Skye; and a brother, Raymond (Margie) Telego Sr. of Florida.
George was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at 10 a.m., at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
Interment will be at Green Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Humility of Mary Health Partners, Boardman Campus, for the wonderful care the staff provided for George.
