Obituary for Michael Kloos

MICHAEL KLOOS CANFIELD – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview in Boardman, for Michael Kloos, 87, who died Sept. 11, 2012, at Hospice House of Poland. Michael was born in Transylvania on March 16, 1925, a son of the late Michael and Sofia Kloos and came to this area in 1958. Michael had been a tool and die maker for General Motors for over 20 years, where he retired. He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, the Saxon Club and the UAW. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and had belonged to the Concordia Chorus. He leaves his wife, the former Sofia Barth, whom he married Aug. 25, 1962, and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; two brothers, John Kloos and Thomas Kloos, both in Germany; 10 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church.
