Graveside services for Elaine N. (Blackford) Schmitt, 78, of Wickliffe will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Eternal Light, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. (Family and friends, please meet at the cemetery.)
Elaine passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Heartland of Mentor Nursing Facility in Mentor.
Born Aug. 11, 1934, in Spangler Pa., she was a lifetime resident of Lake County.
She was the loving mother of Barbara L. Schmitt of Wickliffe and Shane C. (Samantha) Schmitt of Mentor; cherished grandmother of Alicia, Nathaniel, Jacob, Joshua and Zachary; and great-grandmother of Tryston, Tyler, Kylee, Makenzie and Kaitlyn.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Schmitt; daughter, Debra A. Harding; granddaughter, Nicole; and parents, William and Dorothy (Fagan) Blackford.
