Obituary for Barbara Lenart Dojnia
Barbara Jean Dojnia, age 65 of Shelton, died peacefully September 11, 2012 at Griffin Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Derby on August 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lorraine Karpenko Lenart. Ms. Dojnia worked as an electrical technician for Sikorsky for over 35 years, before her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed cooking and shopping but her passion was her family; always dedicated to children and grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted children, Lori Tonucci and her husband, Armand of Shelton, Jennifer Flaucher and her husband, Daniel of Ansonia and John Dojnia, Jr. of Shelton; cherished grandchildren, Megan Spiegel of Shelton, Samantha and Nicholas Flaucher, both of Ansonia; brother-in-law, Willard Schulte of Shelton; niece, Bonnie Schulte and nephews, Gregory and Gary Schulte. She was predeceased by her dear friend and sister, Patricia Schulte. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
