Obituary for William E. Gray
William E. Gray, age 74, husband to Diane Nicholls Gray and Ansonia resident, entered into eternal rest Sept. 8, 2012. He was born Jan. 5, 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y. son of the late Earl & Hazel Jordan Gray Sr. William worked as an engineer surveyor for the State of CT for 36 years. He was a member of The Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia and was a member of the Derby Senior Center. William was also an active participant in productions of Center Stage in Shelton. In addition to his wife Diane, he leaves two daughters, Karen Gray of Ansonia and Wendy Stebar & her husband Richard of Naugatuck, and two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Earl Gray Jr. Memorial services celebrating the life of William E. Gray will be held on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at The Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff St. Ansonia. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to his church.
