Obituary for Elbert Wilder

Elbert Wilder Jr. (1925-2012) Elbert Wilder Jr., 86, of Wickliffe, passed away Aug. 26, 2012, at Manorcare in Willoughby. Born Nov. 10, 1925, in Hillsboro, Tenn., he had been a resident of Wickliffe for the past 38 years. Mr. Wilder was a member of the Mayfield Village Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was very active in his faith and loved to read and study the Bible. He was employed as lead man at the former National Acme in Cleveland. Survivors are his son, Timothy E. (Diane) Wilder; grandchildren, Peggy (Doug) Agesen, Rebecca Forster, John S. Wilder and Eric Elbert Wilder; great-grandchild, Kaylee Forster; and brother, Billy Wayne Wilder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gussie M. (Thompson) Wilder, who passed away in 1995; four brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
