Obituary for Jean L Scott
JEAN L. SCOTT
AUSTINTOWN – Mrs. Jean L. Scott, 88, passed away on July 31, 2012, at her residence, following a brief illness.
Jean was born on Dec. 18, 1923, in Youngstown, to parents, Hermon and Edna (Dean) George.
She married Walter E. Scott Jr. on Dec. 19, 1941.
Jean worked as a long distance telephone operator for Ohio Bell and retired in 1986. She was a Charter member of the Wickliffe Presbyterian Church in Austintown and a member of the Ohio Bell Pioneers. Jean loved shopping and cooking in her free time.
She leaves behind two sons, Dennis D. Scott of Austintown and Larry A. (Loretta) Scott of North Jackson; one daughter, Patricia A. (Tim) Tenney of Denver; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Dean George; a sister, Eleanor Fenton; and a grandson, Eric Scott.
