Obituary for Helen (Puhl) Mayer
Helen (Puhl) Mayer, 91, of Wickliffe, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Emeritus of Mentor.
Mrs. Mayer was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Cleveland.
She was an avid reader and loved to play cards, especially pinochle. Spending time with her family and trips to different casinos were special times in her life.
Survivors are her children, Karen (David) Updike of Mentor, Patricia Struble of Seminole, Fla., David (Sheryl) Mayer of Wickliffe and Mark (Patricia) Mayer of Richfield; grandchildren, Shelley, Kristen, Jason, Christopher, Melissa and Kathleen; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Olivia; and brother, Fred (Guadalupe) Puhl.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mayer; grandson, Ryan Mayer; and siblings, Catherine, Frank, Peter and Richard Puhl, Marion Beech and Frances Pinkham.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
