Charles R. Dodd Jr.
age 53 of Jackson Township, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was born on May 9, 1959 in Massillon the son of the late Charles R. Dodd Sr., and Betty L. (Conger) Dodd. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1977 graduate of Washington High School. Chuck retired from Central States Can Co. He was an avid Indians fan and had a love for cars. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sharon (Blend) Dodd whom he married on July 28, 1979; his children, Bryan, Michael, and Kaitlyn Dodd, all of Jackson Township; his grandson, Austin Dodd; his brothers, William R. (Jane) Dodd of Green and Robert A. Dodd of Massillon; his sister, Brenda L. (Dan) Harmon of Canton; and his best friend, William Roseman of Massillon.
A Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
