Obituary for Ann S. Hoffner

'Together Again' Anna S. Hoffner age 88 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012. Anna was born on Jan. 30, 1924 in Massillon the daughter of the late John and Helen Haiduc. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a graduate of Washington High School. Anna was an avid golfer and had at one point in her life shot five hole-in-ones all at The Elms Country Club. She was a former chairman of the Lady Elms golf league. She also worked for the Board of Elections during voting time. Anna was also a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Hoffner in 2002; her son, Paul Hoffner in 1977; her brothers, Charles and Samuel Haiduc; and her sister, Helen Silea. She is survived by her son, Kevin (Debbie) Hoffner of Massillon; her grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Andris of Barberton and Kimberly (Kenny) Barbato of Canton; her brother, Nick (Violet) Haiduc of Glascow, Ky.; her sister, Jean (Randall) Evans of New Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Anna's Life will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
