Obituary for Debra L. Edminson

Debra L. Edminson 61, of Massillon, died unexpectedly due to complications from surgery and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 7, 2012, while surrounded by her loving family. Born on August, 16, 1950, to Phyllis and the late Merle Darrah Jr. Debra was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Massillon and was active in the church council and with the restoration committee. She enjoyed crafts, reading, gardening and sewing. Debra worked for over 20 years at Kent State University, Stark Campus book store and was a member of Quota and the Massillon Woman's Club. Other than her father, grandparents Alice and Merle Sr.; Lucille and Charles A. Schultz preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Robert D. Edminson; daughter, Melissa M. May of Massillon; son, Robert D. Edminson Jr. of Massillon; grandchildren: Ryan, Kodie, Brandon and Cameron; great grandchildren: Xaidyn and Bryton; mother, Phyllis Darrah of Massillon; sister, Darcie Darrah of Bucyrus; brother, Doug (Christine) Darrah of Toledo; aunts Ruth Crone of Massillon and Mary Jayne Lewis of Massillon; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 Cherry Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH 44646, with Pastor Rhonda Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home, Massillon Chapel on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 5-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the funeral service at St. Paul's from 12-1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Debra's name to the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon or to the American Cancer Society
