Obituary for Helen Esposito

HELEN ESPOSITO YOUNGSTOWN – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Youngstown, with Father Edward Noga officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Helen Esposito, 94, who passed away Saturday morning, June 2, 2012. Helen will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her dedication and passion to her family and the field of nursing. She was born Sept. 14, 1917, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Michael and Agnes (Puglise) Donadeo, and moved to the Youngstown area as a young child. Helen was a 1935 graduate of Lowellville High School, attended Youngstown State University and graduated from the Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing in 1942 as a Registered Nurse. She then performed post graduate work at Poly Clinic Hospital and Doctors Hospital, both in New York City. She was a well known Registered Nurse for the Youngstown Hospital Association from 1942 until her retirement in 1980. Among many other responsibilities, she served as a Nursing Instructor and was the head of a Medical Surgical Floor. Helen was a member of St. Patrick Church for over 60 years and truly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her beloved family. Her husband, Michael R. Esposito, whom she married July 6, 1946, died June 30, 1995. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories, two sons, Ronald D. Esposito of Cincinnati and Atty. Michael A. Esposito of Columbus; two grandchildren, Alexandra (Chad) Biniasz of Charlotte, N.C. and Alexander Hinkle of Durango, Colo.; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Donadeo and four sisters, Rose Chiricosta, Ann Ianazone, Teresa Kaneski, and Marie Donadeo. Friends may call on Friday, June 8, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Entombment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield
