CORTLAND - Marie Leatherberry, 64, died Monday, June 4, 2012, at her residence.
She was born June 18, 1947, in Warren, the daughter of Stanley and Kathrine Maxine Newell Burton.
A 1965 graduate of McDonald High School, she was employed at Fellner's Pharmacy in McDonald for a few years and at Kmart for 10 years on the floor.
She was of the Protestant faith, a past member of Precious Moments Collectors Club and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and scrapbooking.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, James Delmer Leatherberry, whom she married Nov. 5, 1966; a son, James Alan (Nancy) Leatherberry of Cortland; a daughter, Michelle Altier of Cortland; two brothers, James Burton of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and Alan (Mary Ann) Burton of Youngstown; and five grandchildren, Zachary and Amy Leatherberry and Jimmy, Chris and Mike Altier.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Chaplain Jay Eastman officiating.
Burial will be at Greenhaven Cemetery.
