Obituary for Lois Michalenok
LOIS M. MICHALENOK
YOUNGSTOWN – Lois M. Michalenok, 81, died Sunday surrounded by her family at Hospice House following a short illness.
Born April 27, 1931, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Heckendorn) Welch and she came to the Youngstown area in 1964.
Mrs. Michalenok was a member of the Boardman Friends of the Library and helped in various community services.
Survivors include son Jeffrey (Nancy) Michalenok of Boardman; daughter Sue McMahon of Austintown; grandchildren Jennifer Michalenok, Christina Owens, William McMahon Jr., and Timothy McMahon; great-grandchildren Wyatt Miller, Isaiah Miller, Hunter Owens, and Timothy McMahon Jr.; brother Donald Welch; sister Margie Ventura; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Michalenok; son-in-law William McMahon Sr.; brothers Richard, Thomas and Edward Welch; and sister-in-law Elsie Michalenok.
A celebration of Lois’ life will be held at the Four Square Club, 2298 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown on Saturday, May 26, 2012, from 1 to 4 p.m.
