Obituary for Catherine Whalen Sullivan

Catherine Whalen Sullivan, 87, Wife of the late William H. Sullivan, and longtime Ansonia resident, passed away May 28, 2012. She was born April 3, 1925, daughter of the late Aloysius P. & Catherine Hennessy Whalen. She was a parishioner of The Church of The Assumption in Ansonia. She retired from The Ansonia School System as a school secretary. She is survived by two daughters Nancy Pereiras of Ansonia, Kathleen Coogan (Stephen) of Tualatin, Oregon and one son William G. Sullivan (Lynne Tracey) of New Jersey. She also leaves four grandchildren , Miranda and Matthew Pereiras and Liam & Christian Coogan, close friend Lucille Roche and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, John Whalen, Anne Reinhold and Marian Glaub and her son in law William Pereiras. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff St. Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
