Obituary for BARBARA L SWARTZ

Barbara Lee Swartz, 80, of St. Cloud, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born in Reading, Pa. and was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Wilson High School where she met her husband. She then went on to work for the Wilson High School District Administration. Moving to Florida in 1979, she began a successful career working for the offices of Representative John Mica, and then Senator Paula Hawkins. She then transitioned to work and eventually own Hawkins Frederickson Associates until her retirement. Upon the passing of her husband in 2012, she took on the ownership of Ford Insurance Agency and retired again in 2019. She loved reading, getting up each day to read the entire newspaper and never finished without solving the crossword puzzle. We called her the master organizer as she always made sure things were in order and that her family was taken care of at all times. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always made sure everything was right. She never hesitated to hop in the car to go enjoy life. Traveling back and forth to Panama City, Gainesville and New Jersey to visit her family. She stayed very busy with her book club and canasta club. She feared nothing and was always up for an adventure. She was preceded in death by her parents Lee Stufflet and Orpha Schera, step-father Enos Schera, brother Craig Stufflet and husband of 51 years Merrill R. Swarts, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Mark and Day, St. Cloud, FL; Michael and his wife Denise, Alachua, FL and daughter, Michelle Remschel, Hamburg, NJ; grandchildren, Casady Massey and her husband Jordan, Panama City, FL; Steven and his wife Shannon, Nashville, TN, Laura Beranek and her husband, Alex, Panama City, FL; Shea and Alicia Remschel, Hamburg, NJ, Desmond and Husband Joey Sumpter, Hernando Beach, CA and great grandchildren , Alexis Massey, MacKenzie massey, and great grandsons, Warriner Beranek and Lucas Remschel. To Honor our mother's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please celebrate her memory in your own private way. We know that she will be us all in spirit.
