Obituary for Harry I Jackson

Harry Irvin Jackson May 25, 2012 LISBON - Harry Irvin Jackson, 92, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Vista Center. Born July 8, 1919, in Somerset County, Pa., he was a son of the late Jesse James and Alice (Tressler) Jackson. Mr. Jackson worked as a boilermaker and pipefitter for Prout Heating and Welding in Youngstown. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a former member of the Elkton United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Betty T. McElhattan, whom he married July 8, 1957; his children Candy (Mike) Pastore of Lisbon and Harry I. Jackson II of Negley; a sister, Viola Chaney of Frostburg, Md.; two grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children, Kenny and Karen Jackson and Sherry Ann Jackson. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Weber Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Hickman and Pastor James Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Green Haven Cemetery.
