Edith E. Starn
96 of Massillon, died on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on March 4, 1916 in North Braddock, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Elmer A. and Elsie L. (Stewart) Ulrich. Edith graduated from Massillon Commercial School and worked as a PBX operator at the former Massillon Community Hospital and as a secretary at the former Massillon State Hospital. She retired from there in 1983. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren W. Starn and her brother, William Ulrich.
She is survived by her son, Michael Starn; her nieces and nephews, Debbie and Jack Hoffman and Linda and Jim Morris.
A service to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Brigham officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. The family suggests that memorials be made in her name to the Soup Kitchen at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 Cherry Road N.E., Massillon, OH 44646
