Obituary for Joseph V. Rusinik

Joseph V. Rusinik age 56 of Ansonia entered unexpectedly into eternal rest on Sunday April 1, 2012 at the J.F.K. Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida after falling ill earlier in the week while visiting family and friends. Joe was born in Derby, Ct. on March 31, 1956 a son of the late Michael and Frances Sampieri Rusinik. A graduate of Ansonia High School and Sacred Heart University, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Joe worked as a driver in the trucking industry for many years. An avid lover of classic cars and motorcycles he attended many area car shows winning several trophies. Joe will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving son Christopher Rusinik, a brother Michael Rusinik and his wife Dorothy of Trinity, Florida and a sister Barbara Rusinik and her significant other Don Norris of Palm Bay, Florida. He is also survived by two nieces one nephew and two great nephews. Friends are invited to go directly to Holy Rosary Church on Father Salemi Dr. in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday April 9, 2012 at 9 A.M. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Calling hours are on Saturday April 7, 2012 at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton, Ct. from 2 P.M. until 5 P.M. The Riverview Funeral Home / Compassionate Cremation and Funeral Service of Shelton have been entrusted with the arrangements.>>
