Obituary for Ralph H Scheetz

RALPH HENRY SCHEETZ CANFIELD – Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at West Austintown United Methodist Church for Ralph Henry Scheetz, 74, who passed away Saturday morning at his home. Ralph was born Jan. 26, 1938, in Youngstown, the son of Clayton and Helen (Brown) Scheetz. He was a machinist with United Engineering, retiring in 2000. Ralph was a member of the West Austintown United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee. He was also a member of the Saxon Club where he was to be honored as the 2012 “Man of the Year,” a member of the AMVETS Post No. 35, and the Brownlee Woods Rod and Gun Club. He was also a past president of the North Lima Little League. Ralph leaves his wife, the former Mavis Keys, whom he married July 6, 1985; seven children, Robbin (Todd) Alexander of Canfield, Michael (Patti) Scheetz of Canfield, Sandra (Glen) Powell of Berlin Center, Sharon (Jerry) Vaughn of Diamond, Brian (Lisa) Palmer of Youngstown, Tamara (Bob) Scheetz of Canfield, and Roman Scheetz at home. He also leaves 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Rita (Bill) Creed of Girard. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Gary Scheetz; and two sisters, Evelyn Matthews and Sally Naples. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church
