Obituary for Laurene Carney
Laurene Ann Carney, age 54, a former longtime Ansonia resident currently of Vinton, Iowa, departed this life March 1. She was born Nov. 8, 1957 in Derby, daughter of Robert and Betty Ireland Carney of Seymour. She was raised in The First Baptist Church in Ansonia and worked as a Nurses Aid for several local nursing homes. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and her pets. In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters Tammie Rawson-Brown of Vinton, Iowa & Elizabeth Bailey of Seymour, her brothers, Paul F. Carney of Seymour & William Carney of Southbury and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service
