Obituary for Margaret E Hayes

MARGARET E. HAYES MASURY – Margaret E. Hayes, 86, formerly of Austintown, passed away peacefully at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Feb. 29, 2012, at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles, following an extended illness. She was born on March 22, 1925, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of the late Paul W. and Mary E. (McKissick) Sitler. She was a graduate of New Castle High School. A devoted homemaker and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret was also a former member of the Wickliff United Presbyterian Church in Austintown, where she and her husband had been founding members. Margaret also loved spending time reading and visiting with her beloved grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sons, David J. Hayes and William T. Hayes and his wife, Sharon, all of Masury; seven grandchildren, Jason (Robin) Hayes of Masury, Justin (April) Hayes of Hubbard, David and James Hayes of Texas, David Hayes of Calgary, Canada, Edward Hayes of Boardman and Jeffery Hayes of Austintown; and by her six beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hayes, whom she married in 1942 and preceded her in 1974; son Edward W. Hayes; her brother, William J. Sitler; and by her daughter-in-law, Carol Hayes. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Green Haven Memorial Garden in Canfield
