Obituary for Clarence Crum

Clarence F. Crum, age 91, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday February 26, 2012 at the Woodsfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 11, 1920 in East Union, Ohio a son of the late Urban Crum & Eloise Hughes Crum. Mr. Crum attended school in East Union and the Clarington area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodsfield. Clarence was the owner of C.F. Crum Excavating and Hauling for 65 years. Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served four years and receiving the World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Clarence enjoyed fishing and gardening at his farm. He also restored antique cars and looked forward to the Hersey, Pennsylvania car shows which he attended many times. Preceded in death by two sisters; Bernadine Burkhart and Arlene Christman. Clarence is survived by his wife; Opal E. Yoss Crum of Woodsfield whom he married May 28, 1949, two daughters Sharon Bristone of California and Connie (Ken) Grajczyh of Michigan and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother; Don of Tallmadge, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of Service at 2 p.m. Tuesday February 28, 2012 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Pastor Adam Townsend officiating. Burial will be in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Canfield, Ohio
