Obituary for Mary E Lackner
Mary Elizabeth Lackner,87
of Brighton Twp., died Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Beaver Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 4, 1924, in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Theresa (Gorcsos) Yanota and the wife of the late Edward Theodore Lackner. She had worked as a nurse's aide for Friendship Ridge and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are three children: Edward Lackner and his wife Diana, White Twp., Robin Rogers and her husband Ronald, Hookstown, and Mary Lackner-Rupp and her husband Gary, Struthers, OH; seven grandchildren: Dana, Michelle, Edward, Rhonda, Lisa, Michelle and Kelley; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Philomena Soltesz and Sister Agnessa Soltesz (Sister of Divine Providence), and a brother, Johnny Yanota.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. in the CAMPBELL'S CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME, 2618 Darlington Road, www.campbellfuneralhomes.com, with Reverend David Alleman officiating.
Interment will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield, OH.
