Stephanie Renee Miller
52, of Hilliard, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 17, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Stephanie was born, June 11, 1959, in Massillon, Ohio. She is the daughter of Richard and Jane Miller of Dover, Ohio. Stephanie was a 1977 graduate of Dover High School; and pursuing her education she attended Baldwin Wallace College, Ohio State University, receiving her paramedic certification from Columbus State. She received her Bachelors of Science degree (cum laude) from Columbia Southern University in Occupational Safety and Health. Her past employment included Ohio State University as a paramedic and fire prevention supervisor. Her most recent employment was as a Health and Safety Consultant at Sequent of Dublin. Stephanie was a Corpsman for the US Naval Reserve with commendations.
Stephanie is survived by her parents; her brother, Dr. Steven Miller (Jill), nephew, Marcus, niece, Marley Miller, of Hilliard; and close friend, Dorothy Griffith of Hilliard. Her love of nature and animals included hiking and camping, especially in Hocking Hills, wildlife and her many cats.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026 where a funeral service will take place Monday at 12 Noon with Zion Christian Fellowship officiating. Interment will take place at Rosehill Memorial Gardens in Massillon, Ohio. Remembrances can be made through donations to benefit a Christian Missionary, Zion Christian Fellowship in Powell, Ohio, or a no-kill animal shelter.
