Obituary for Eleanor L Kelly
Eleanor L. Kelly
aged 88, passed away on Feb. 19, 2012. She was born in Canton on Nov. 18, 1923 to the late Homer and Mary Elizabeth (Nettro) Morland. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Eleanor worked for the Massillon State Hospital for 30 years until her retirement. In retirement she worked at the Curio & Floral shop. Her proudest achievement was being a Mother, Grandmother and Great- Grandmother. She enjoyed family, friends and her dogs. One of her greatest joys was watching her beloved Cavaliers and Steelers. She was a one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (David) Johnson, Linda (Richard) West, Kathy (Ken) Getchey and Brian Kelly; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, Pastor Nancy Bacon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tonight at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral service.
