Obituary for Elsie R Rankin
ELSIE R. RANKIN
LARNED, KAN. – A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Bridge of Hope Church, 7580 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman for Elsie R. Rankin, 94, formerly of Youngstown, who died Jan. 24, 2012, at the Larned Healthcare Center in Larned.
She was born July 29, 1917, in Johnstown, Pa., the daughter of the late Robert and Dorotha (Cramer) Cummins.
Elsie was an Accounting bookkeeper and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Larned.
Her husband, Charles W. Rankin, whom she married on July 20, 1935, in Wheeling, W.Va., died Nov. 11, 1997.
Elsie is survived by a son, Charles Kenneth Rankin of Anna, Texas; a daughter, Rebecca Sue Webster of Larned; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, and husband, Elsie was preceded in death by a son, William Ronald Rankin; and a sister, Mary Stewart.
