Obituary for Larry A Palmer

LARRY A. PALMER HOWLAND – Larry A. Palmer, 70, entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 10:43 p.m. at the Hospice House in Poland, following a lengthy illness. Larry was born the son of the late Harold R. and Viva (Mauer) Palmer Jr. on Dec. 27, 1941, in Warren, and was a lifetime area resident. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School, Class of 1959, and had been employed with the Packard Electric Corporation with the Plant Security for 30 years, retiring from his duties in 1995. Larry was a member of the Evansville Baptist Church and was a gun enthusiast. He received a United States Patent for his Shell changer for the Automatic shot gun. Larry enjoyed the outdoors and was a avid Trap & Skeet shooter and also enjoyed fishing, reading, sketching and riding his motorcycle. On Sept. 1, 1978, Larry was united into marriage with the former Linda C. Stark and had shared 34 years together. His memories will be celebrated and remembered by those he leaves behind, his wife, Linda C. Palmer of Warren; sons, Douglas K. (Maggie) Palmer of Spring, Texas and Jeffrey A. Palmer of Brookshire, Texas; a daughter, Debra S. (Paul) Stroud of Brookshire, Texas; brothers, Ralph (Donna) Palmer and Johnston and Danny (Connie) Palmer of West Farmington; sisters, Janet (Bill) Schrader of Cortland and Ann (Glenn) Wilson of Hermitage, Pa.; and six grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Denise Diaz in 2011.
