Jeffrey C. Barclay, 51, succumbed to complications from his long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Jan. 28, 2012. Jeff was born Oct. 2, 1960, in Cleveland. He attended Kirtland and Madison schools, where he was active in the football programs. He earned his bachelor's degree from John Carroll University in political science. He was an avid stamp collector since childhood and loved watching football. He had many friends in Chillicothe, where he had worked in advertising for the Gazette. He received the greatest enjoyment from his many friends and following and discussing politics with his Dad. Jeff is survived by his father, Clifford Barclay of Madison; brother, Scott (Rebecca) Barclay of Harpersfield; two nephews, Joshua and Zachary Barclay; and niece, Megan Barclay of Painesville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Wolcott) Barclay. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
