Obituary for Carol Ann Esposito Goff Fontaine

Carol Ann Esposito Goff Fontaine, 63, of Derby, entered into rest on January 31, 2012, at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond “Frenchie” Fontaine. Mrs. Fontaine was born in Derby on Sept. 19, 1948, daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Guagenti Esposito. Carol was employed in customer service at Health Net in Shelton for many years. She loved traveling, casinos, holidays, especially Christmas, sales, and most of all her family. Carol spent the best years of her life with her late husband Raymond. Carol was a fantastic cook and her sauce was the best ever. She was a generous and caring soul and will be remembered for her kindness and compassion. Carol was the first female Cub Master of Holy Rosary Pack 7 and was nationally recognized by Health Net with the “Heart and Soul Award”. She is survived by a loving son, Mark Goff of Derby, a devoted brother, Frank J. Esposito (Mary Ann) of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Marina Rose Goff, Dylan Goff, Dakota Goff, Alexandra Rose Goff, and Timmy Schmidheim, two great-granddaughters, Isabella and Sophia, daughter in law, Andrea Santillo and special close friend, Helen Smith. She was the “proud auntie” of Michael Esposito (Stacey) and Craig Esposito (Christine Spina). She was predeceased by a son, Scott Goff. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday February 2, 2012, at 9:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
