Obituary for Elizabeth Dull

ELIZABETH H. DULL SEBRING – Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Elizabeth H. Dull, 92, who passed away early Saturday morning at Salem Community Hospital. Elizabeth was born Nov. 4, 1919, in Warren, a daughter of Andrew and Lidia (Szegraicz) Hricz. Elizabeth was a 1939 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University in 1943. She received a Bachelor’s Degree of Music Piano Performance and a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Music Education. She was an organist at various churches for 65 years. Most recently, she was an organist at the Wickcliffe Presbyterian Church for 25 years. She was a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota National Music Fraternity at YSU, the American Guild of Organists, the Austintown Community Church and was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She taught at the Leonard Kurtz School and the Dana School of Music. She also gave private piano lessons. Her husband, Lester H. Dull, whom she married June 11, 1949, passed away Dec. 18, 2001. Elizabeth leaves her daughter, Norma (Gordon) McCue of Salem; three sons, Wesley (Joanne) Dull of Chelmsford, Mass., Perry (Leslie) Dull of Youngstown and Edwin (Cindi) Dull of Niles; a brother, Joseph Hrecz of Oregon; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a niece, Karen Fries of Columbus; and a nephew, Robert (Theresa) Fries of New Hartford, N.Y. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret and Elvira and a brother, Andrew. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
