Obituary for Robert E Stare

ROBERT E. STARE SALEM There will be funeral services on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman for Robert E. Stare, 78, formerly of Poland, who died Wednesday evening, Jan. 25, 2012, at Hospice House in Poland. He was born Feb. 19, 1933, in Youngstown, the son of the late Stephen R. and Ellen L. (Carrier) Stare Jr. Robert graduated from South High School in 1951. He was an Army veteran, who was an instructor in the Signal Corps during the Korean conflict. He worked as a technician with Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Youngstown for 41 years, retiring in 1992 and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Robert was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church of Poland and the Church of Nazarene in Salem. His first wife was the loving mother of his children, the former Florence A. Wright, whom he married on July 3, 1952, died May 9, 1998. Robert is survived by his loving wife, the former Rosetta L. Whitehead, whom he married Aug. 25, 2001; his children, Robert S. (Ishraq) Stare of Ellsworh, Jerry D. (Karen) Stare of Poland, Bonnie E. (George) Boyarko of Poland and Debbie L. (Bruce) Cooper of Newton Falls; his sisters, Gladys Wadman of Struthers, Ellen Martin of the Plains and Elizabeth Wright of Austintown; a brother, Donald E. Stare of Howland; grandchildren, Dr. George (Colleen) Boyarko, Carrie (Mark) Wimbish, Craig Boyarko, Clifford (Sarah) Cooper, Alex (Elizabeth) Cooper, Hospitalman Eric Cooper, Christy Stare and J.D. Stare; and great-grandchildren, Sierra Cooper, Drew Boyarko, Presley Cooper, Pamela Boyarko and A.J. Cooper
