Obituary for James M Conway

JAMES M. CONWAY | AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church in Cornersburg for James M. Conway, 67, who passed away Wednesday evening at Northside Medical Center. Jim was born Aug. 8, 1944, in Youngstown to Dorothy (Shields) Conway. He was a graduate of Fitch High School Class of 1962 and worked as an assembler with Wean United, retiring in 1995. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1965 to 1967, and received the National Defense Service Medal for his service overseas. Jim was raised in the Methodist faith. He was a former member of the Eagles Club in Austintown, and a member of the NRA. Jim enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing the guitar. He leaves five children, Christine (Gary) Staffrey of North Jackson, Robert Jones of San Diego, John (Sally) Jones of Phoenix, Joe Jones of Austintown and Jim “Crum” (Laura) Conway Jr. of Austintown; as well as 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
