Obituary for Ms. Virginia Phostole

Virginia Phostole, born in New York City on April 2, 1941, passed away on November 24,2022 at the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fairfield CT, surrounded by her family. Virginia, lovingly known as "Ginny" to her friends and family, was a longtime resident of Fairfield. Over the years she worked as an administrative assistant for several companies and had retired. She loved to spend time with her family and her close friends going out to lunch, traveling, and to NYC to the opera. She is survived by a brother John F. Phostole and his wife Nancy of Meriden; sister-in-law Denise Phostole of Montville, NJ.; three nephews Sean F. Phostole of Meriden; Seth F. Phostole and his wife Jennifer of Southbury; Alexander Phostole and his wife Samantha of Rockaway, NJ. She is predeceased by her mother, Mini Phostole; her father, Christy Phostole, and a brother Pierre Phostole. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 30, between 9 AM and 10 AM at the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road. A celebration of life will begin at 10 AM. Graveside services and interment will follow at Oak lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Virginia's name to the American Cancer Society.
