Obituary for Virginia R Ewing

YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel for Virginia R. Ewing, 83, who died Tuesday evening at Vibra Health Care Center. 

Virginia was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Girard, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Pazillo and was a lifelong area resident.   

She was a presser for Weatherbee Coat Factory for 18 years and then a presser for Millcreek Drycleaners for over 10 years. She was a member of the Canfield United Methodist Church. Virginia enjoyed roller skating and had met her husband, Don, at the Boardman Rollercade. Together they enjoyed going to different rollercades and skating.

Besides her husband, Donald C. Ewing, whom she married June 29, 1977, she leaves a son, David Bajnok (Lou Ann) of Girard; one stepson, David Ewing of Houston; two stepdaughters, Donna-Jo Ewing of Canfield and Cindy Phillips of Plantation, Fla.; two grandchildren, David and Lisa; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a sister, Carmel Carasi of South Carolina; a brother, Joseph (Barbara) of Girard; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Bajnok, who died October 1973; four brothers, Sam, Nick, Tony and John Pazillo; and a sister, Phyllis Palko. 

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel.
