Obituary for Ruth Bresnan Jarvis

Mrs. Ruth B. Jarvis R.N 82 of 7 Argyle Circle died Sunday October 30 at home. George Jarvis died on Monday October, 31 at home. Ruth was born in Ansonia on April 2. 1929 daughter of the late William and Loretta (O'Donnell) Bresnan. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, graduate of the Assumption School. Ansonia High School Class of 1946 and the Danbury School of Nursing with her Nursing Degree. Ruth retired from Griffin Hospital and was also employed as R.N. for B. F. Goodrich as supervisor for the Winthrop Continuing Care of New Haven, and Hewitt Memorial of Shelton Both Ruth and are members of the Model "T" Club Crankin- Yanks. George was born in Ansonia on January, 4 1926 son of the late Alfred and Rose (knight) Jarvis a graduate of the Pine High School Class of 1944, he enlisted in The U. S Navy serving on the USS Minneapolis. George and Ruth lived most of their married life in Seymour and he was a Amateur Radio operator for many years (W I WFN) He owned and operated Jarvis Electrical Contractor. Ruth and George are survied by their immediate family Daughter Gale and her husband Daniel Eaton of Middlebury. Son William Jarvis and his significant other Ruth Nached of Ansonia and daughter in law Joyce Jarvis of Seymour three grandson William C. Jarvis and Rachel Booth Jarvis. Adam C. Eaton and Eric J. Eaton and one great-grandson Evan J. Jarvis. Predeceased by one sister Alice Bresnan. George is predeceased bu one brother Alfred Jarvis Calling hours will be held on Friday from 8 am to 9 am in the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia with the Funeral procession leaving at 9;10 am to the Church of the Assumption for a mass of Christian Burial at 9;30 am.
