Obituary for Thelma Hadder Wilkinson
Thelma Wilkinson, 90 years old, wife to Ira Wilkinson and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest October 6. She was born in Seymour CT September 23, 1921, daughter of the late Michael Hadder & Catherine Khoury Hadder. She was a member of Ansonia High School, Class of 1938 and a member of the Beta Sigma Gamma sorority . Thelma was a lifelong member of the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport. She volunteered as a counselor for the Girls Friendly Club at the former Immanuel Episcopal Church in Ansonia. In addition to her husband Ira, she leaves to cherish her memory her son Robert Wilkinson & his wife Eileen of Naugatuck, daughter Beverly Wright & her husband William of Ansonia, sister Lillian Delaney of Ansonia, and four grandchildren, four great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Becker, Sally Hinman, Louise Kobasier & Christine Orzolek and two brothers, Abraham & Joseph Hadder. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. at The St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport. Friends and family will meet at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. before leaving for church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
