A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 PM Monday in St. Rose Church in Girard for Margaret L. Comer, age 82 who died early Friday morning at Shepherd of Valley in Niles.
Margaret was born Sept. 15, 1927 in McDonald and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen R. (Thomas) Hart. She retired in 1981 from Packard Electric where she had worked for 12 years. She was of the Catholic faith and a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McDonald.
Her husband, George J. Comer, Jr. whom she married July 3, 1948 died Oct. 31, 1983. She leaves four sons, Gregory J. (Karen) Comer of Niles, Kirk (Jeanni) Comer and Jeffery Comer all of McDonald, Scott (Theresa) Comer of Girard, a brother Richard Hart of Niles, six grandchildren; Natalie Westfall, Tara Baldwin, Billie Jean Srock, Danielle Williams, Breana Comer, Dana Comer and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Colleen Amundson, Mary Jacqueline Ball, Alma Smith and a brother Harry Thomas Hart.
Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel from 11-12 PM Monday prior to the mass at church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley
