Obituary for Robert W Fogle

Robert W. Fogle AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Robert W. Fogle, 86, who died late Wednesday night at Austinwoods Nursing Center in Austintown. Bob was born May 11, 1923, in Erie, Pa., the son of Carl and Maude Fogle and came to the area as a child. He worked as a machinist with McKay Machine which later became part of Wean Industries. He was an avid golfer and bowler and was associated with the Austintown Pony Colt Baseball League for several years. Bob leaves his wife, the former Elsie Chismar, whom he married Oct. 8, 1948; two daughters, Shirley Ann (Tony) Bucci of Tampa Fla. and Rhonda Gula of Austintown; one son, Glen (Betty) Fogle of McCuthenville; one sister, Shirley Sanders of Youngstown; two granddaughters, Brandi Bucci and Cheri Rouissi; and two great-grandsons, Brandon and Brice Bucci. Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a twin daughter, Sandra Fogle; a son-in-law, Thomas John Gula; and a brother-in-law, Steve Sanders. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family request that memorial tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley in Bob’s name.
