Obituary for Betty F Diehl

Betty F. Diehl AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Betty F. Diehl, 83, who died early Saturday morning at Hospice House in Poland. She was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Emmaus, Pa., a daughter of Sylvester and Emily (Braker) Fehnel, and she came to this area in 1958. She spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed needlepointing, crafts, shopping with her girls, and spending time with her family. Betty was a kind and loving lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Floyd W. Diehl Jr., whom she married Nov. 17, 1951. She also leaves behind three children, Craig Diehl of Youngstown, Bruce Diehl of Vienna and Carin (Robert) Barnhart of Poland; two sisters, Margery Smith of Fountain Hill, Pa., and Althea Werley of Pembrooke, Pa.; three grandchildren, John Rockney of Las Vegas, Christie Bako of Hubbard and Cailey Barnhart ; and a great-grandson, Chandler Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings
