Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday at Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church in Liberty Twp. for Diana L. DelVecchio, who died Wednesday evening at her residence after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1951 in Youngstown, a daughter of Russell and Mary (Barrett) Davis.
Diana attended Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church, graduated from Jackson Milton High School in 1969. She then attended Youngstown State University and graduated from Choffin School of Nursing. She retired from nursing earlier this year after 20 years, last working for Community Skilled Health Care in Warren.
She is survived by her mother Mary Davis of North Jackson her husband of 38 years, Frank DelVecchio whom she married April 8, 1972, daughters; Angela (Paul) Lucas of Streetsboro, Maria DelVecchio of Naples, FL. and her brother Russell (Karen) Davis III of Lawrenceburg, IN. Diana was preceded in death by her father Russell Davis.
Diana loved God, family, friends and flowers. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 10:30am until time of services Monday at the church.
