Obituary for Mildred Leombruno

MILDRED M. LEOMBRUNO BOARDMAN – Mildred M. Leombruno, 95, died Wednesday morning at her residence. Mildred was born Oct. 13, 1915, in Campbell, a daughter of Imbro and Mary Milcic Solic. She was raised in Campbell before moving to Youngstown and later to Boardman. Mildred enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and following her favorite sports teams, the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Notre Dame. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Her husband, Louis, whom she married Nov. 12, 1938, died Nov. 24, 1997. She leaves three daughters, Mary Ann (Don) Kane of Canfield, and Martha (Bob) Krompegel and Doretta DeLisio, both of Boardman; one son, Bill Leombruno, with whom she made her home; one sister, Anna Katula of Campbell; five grandchildren, Don (Trish) Kane, Kimberly and Karla Krompegel, and Bill and Amy DeLisio; and five great-grandchildren, Isabella Krompegel, Hannah and Donald Kane, and Mykah and Kaylen White. Besides her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Louis Leombruno; and three brothers, Steve, Tom and Harry Solic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church with Fr. Shawn Conoboy officiating. Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield. Friends will be received Friday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Southern Care Hospice, especially Cathy Franken, for the wonderful care and services they provided.
