Private funeral services will be held Monday at Green Haven Cemetery in Canfield for Goldie E. "Betty" Gray, 93, who died Wednesday morning at the Briarfield at the Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Mineral Ridge.
She was born February 3, 1917 in Youngstown, the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth (Gubas) Awas, and she resided in this area all of her life.
She was a 1935 graduate of Youngstown East High School and she spent her adult life as a homemaker raising and caring for her family. She was of the Protestant faith.
She married Elden Gray on January 29, 1936 and he preceded her in death July 19, 1997.
She is survived by two daughters; Carol Maise and Jeanette Pause, both of Austintown; two grandchildren; Michael Pause and Michelle (Bill) Johnston, also of Austintown; and two great grandchildren; Zachary and Alyssa Johnston.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.
