AUSTINTOWN – Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Lewis J. Corll Sr., 80, who passed away Sunday afternoon at his home after a lengthy illness.
Lewis was born April 12, 1930, in Austintown, the son of Chaunce and Amanda (Freed) Corll.
He retired Jan. 1, 1991, from the Austintown School system, where he had been a custodian at most of the schools over the years. Lewis was a member of the Smith Corners United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working around his yard.
Lewis leaves his wife, the former Mary Neider, whom he married Sept. 21, 1950; four children, William Rosenberger of Austintown, Sandra (Tom Habib) Bissett of Edinburg Pa., Jeff (Donna) Corll of Winter Haven, Fla. and Tom (Elizabeth) Corll of Midland, Texas; one sister, Mary Ellen (Jim) Fink of Ft. Myers, Fla.; one brother, Jay (Alice) Corll of Austintown; as well as eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
