Obituary for Genevieve Schulz

GENEVIEVE 'JENNY' SCHULZ AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Genevieve “Jenny” Schulz, 92, who died Wednesday afternoon at Altercare of Nobles Pond Rehabilitation Center in Canton, of complications of a stroke suffered in August, while living independently at Copeland Oaks in Sebring. Jenny was born Oct. 19, 1918, in Ashton, Ill., the daughter of Sallie and Herbert Wilson. She graduated from New Springfield High School in 1934 and was a homemaker most of her life. She had formerly lived in Austintown for many years, before moving to Wooster. She attended the Damascus United Methodist Church in Damascus, while living at Copeland Oaks. Jenny was a lifetime member of the Austintown Community Church and was active in the Order of Eastern Star for 60 years. She will be sadly missed by her children, Karen Schulz Richards of North Benton, Cheryl (Thomas) Patterson of North Canton, Ronald (Betty) Schulz of Shreve; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy H. Schulz, whom she married Sept. 28, 1940 and who died Sept. 27, 1990; and her brother, Ralph Wilson. Family and friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown.
