Obituary for Abdel A Hamad

Abdel (Albert) Hamad YOUNGSTOWN – Abdel (Albert) Hamad, 79, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 25, at St Elizabeth Health Center of a brief illness. Albert was born July 27, 1930 in El-Bireh, Palestine, a son of the late Affifa and Mohamad Hamad. He served in the Korea War with the U.S. Army as a Corporal. Before coming to the United States, he was a middle school teacher in El-Bireh. Once making his home in the Youngstown area, he worked for Kaleel Brothers and owned and operated Indianola Party Shop. He is survived by his five children, Rhonda Kleese, Aneese (Melinda) Hamad, Fifi Lynn (Vince) Larney, Rebecca Lila (Paul) Gugliotti and Mike (Melissa) Hamad; twelve grandchildren, Kristine (Craig) Burrows, Holly Kleese, Abbey Kleese, Stacie Hamad, Stefanie Hamad, Andy Black, Paige Larney, Brooke Larney, Jade Larney, Anthony Gugliotti, Allyson Gugliotti and Jeremy Gugliotti; two brothers, Awni Hamad and Sobhi Hamad; and one sister, Tamam Hamad. Calling hours were held at the Schiavone Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m
