HERMA W. CARPENTER

GIRARD – Herma W. Carpenter, 82, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, at O’Brien Memorial.
Herma was born June 21, 1933, in Soldier, Ky., a daughter of Marvin and Mable Calihan Gregory.
Herma was a homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors, which included gardening and walking.
Herma is survived by her sons, Dennis (Pamela) A. Carpenter Jr. of Liberty Township and Edwin (Angela Thompson) E. Carpenter of Transfer, Pa. Herma’s surviving siblings are her sisters, Lucille Johnson and Juanita Hanshaw and her brothers, Robert, Alan, Woody, and Larry. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adam, Drew, and Alyssa Schroader and her great-grandchildren, Mallory and Lorrain Schroader.
Besides her parents, Herma was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis A. Carpenter Sr., whom she married Oct. 30, 1951, and who died April 16, 2000; her brothers, Charles and Russell; and an infant sister, Wanda.
